The
PowerCount8
Coaches Program
Here I have added several
excellent methods
to help you build team unity.
By using these techniques, you will be teaching each member how to help
each other to not only,
improve their athletic ability, but to improve virtually every area of
their lives!
I
strongly recommend that you require all of your team members and staff
to use the
FIRST THREE MODULES of this
course on their own before you start using it with them!
This bonding method greatly helps to build team-unity, and
gives each member a true sense of belonging and acceptance.
This is important, because when you feel like you belong,
you are far more willing to help the team in any way you
can.
Doing this also empowers each member with a knowledge that
can help every other member whenever they need it. They will
also develop an unshakable feeling of confidence that they
will be able to use this knowledge to help others throughout
their entire lives.
Nothing possesses the innate ability to build superior trust
in each other throughout the entire team like being able to
directly help another team member by experiencing the
problem that the person is feeling, and then helping them to
solve it.
> First of all, you'll
want to make sure that you use this
course ON YOURSELF! With all due respect, in my own
experience in working with hundreds of coaches, even though
many coaches tend to believe they are "all knowing," and
that think they don't need any help with anything, I've seen
that this is rarely the case. The fact is, EVERY person on
the planet deals with negative thoughts and, as a direct
result, negative emotions.
NOTE:
Please understand that this
course is NOT intended to turn anyone into an emotionless
zombie! It simply cannot do that! Although it IS possible to
clear out positive emotions, I've never heard of anybody
purposely wanting to do that.
You CANNOT lose your positive emotions by clearing out your
negative emotions. It just doesn't work that way. You would
need to proactively and specifically FOCUS on your positive
emotions while using PowerCount8
in order to clear them out.
However, PowerCount8
is extremely effective for gradually weakening the strong
intensity you feel from negative emotions.
Now, let's move on
to our team-building methods (these
are NOT listed in any particular order):
You are welcome to use as many of
these methods as you like.
> Have each team member
express a sports-related issue
(for your sport)
that has them worried or stressed out, and then have the
entire team working together to help her eliminate
that issue, forever.
> Have each member
pretend, and visualize that THEY are the one with that other
member's issue or problem while clearing it out. Have the
entire team doing that together. Keep using the
PowerCount8
method to help
each other throughout your season.
> Have each member
make a list of issues that keep them awake at night. Then,
have the entire team clear out those issues together (unless they
are too private or personal).
> Have each member
list what things they are having trouble with mastering or
learning, and then have the entire team work on it together
in support of that member.
> Then, as a team,
compile a master list of issues that COULD potentially pop
up DURING the season, and try to get everybody to add
something to the list. Then, have the entire team work on
each one of those issues AS THOUGH THEY WERE ALREADY
HAPPENING -- RIGHT NOW!
> Anytime you hear any
team member saying anything negative (or even just
expressing their frustration), get the team working together
in support of that member.
> Have the team use
this
after they hear negative or intimidating comments from the
other team, or from people attending your games.
> When a member gets
mental block, or goes into a slump of some sort, have the
entire team help them out of it by working along with that
member.
> Make a list of
every negative thought and feeling you and your team members
get when your team loses a competition. Use
PowerCount8
as a team through
each of those thoughts and feelings on your list.
> Make a list of all of
the possible consequences that COULD happen if each member
fails at their responsibilities on the team. You can also
list the consequences of the team failing to meet its
objectives for the season (feel free to go nuts with this
one).
> Have the team
clear out
any feelings of dread or drudgery they get about practicing,
exercising, or conditioning.
> Prior to any
event, such as a game/competition, or even just practice,
lead the team in a session to clear out their nervousness
and/or performance jitters. Athletes often DO feel some
nervousness even during practices.
>
Just prior to a
competitive event or practice, lead the team in driving
themselves into
THE ZONE.
>
When competing on the road, make a list of every advantage
your road opponent has over your team. Then, work through the list as a team.
>
Question each team
member about whether or not they feel ANY resistance to
making a full commitment to the team, and toward helping the
team achieve its goals for the season.
>
Have each member make a personal list of their body and
appearance issues, and then work with them (yourself) to clear out those issues.
Doing this greatly improve their self confidence, thus
enhancing their desire to improve their performance ability.
>
Make a list of each team member's fears, worries, or self
doubts. Have the team work together for each member's issues.
>
Have the entire team
practice each of the High Pressure
Situation Drills (in
Module 7) together. Ask your members to try to think up
more drills that they can do together (and please feel free
to send those cool new ideas to me).
> Prior to a
competitive event, have the team clear out any distractions
they have going on, so they can FOCUS 100%.
> If a member makes
a mistake during a competitive event, help them get past it
by having the team do
PowerCount8
in support of that member. Doing this
will help the member to develop "temporary amnesia" so that
the mistake will not affect the rest of their game.
> Have each member
make a list of any resentments, grudges, or grievances they
feel toward any other members of the team. Then have them
clear
those issues out...once and for always!
You are welcome to come up with more methods on your own.
Please email me, and tell me about ones you use.
And PLEASE feel free to suggest new ideas to me!

always say:

LITTLE, we can ALL do a LOT! |
